COVID Info

We are relaxing some of our mask policies starting today. You will start to see some of our smiling faces : )

We do welcome anyone who wants to continue to wear a mask to do so. We will have masks available in our lobby and at Snoopy entrance.

  • If you are healthy, you are not required to wear a mask.
  • If you are healthy and prefer to wear a mask, we will also wear a mask while providing care for your child.
  • If your child, or anyone accompanying the child, is sick or displaying sick symptoms, they will be required to wear a mask while in our office.
  • We will continue to use our Snoopy entrance. Our Snoopy entrance is separate from our main door. It allows anyone who has sick symptoms to enter our office and go straight to a room without exposing our healthy patients and families in the lobby.
  • We are still maintaining separate exam rooms for healthy and sick patients.

We are still figuring out what is best for our patients and staff as we move forward. We appreciate your patience as we slowly ease into relaxing our protocols.

Initial Statement in 2020

The Children's Clinic has remained open to serve our patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are following all CDC and State of Alaska guidelines and have implemented a mitigation plan to protect our patients and our staff, including but not limited to: universal masking, separating healthy and sick patients, immediately rooming all patients upon arrival, thorough cleaning of rooms and equipment, air filters in sick rooms, and screening all families prior to their appointments. We are performing rapid COVID PCR tests in the office with a turnaround time of less than an hour. We have been providing COVID vaccines to the public since January and are now offering vaccines to our eligible patients.

We encourage our patients to continue to receive their preventive care and stay up-to-date on vaccines and routine screenings during this time. We are also available for telemedicine visits when appropriate.
