Preventive Visits & Immunizations
We encourage families to take advantage of Preventive Visits, which are important to monitor growth and development, prevent illnesses, and address physical or behavioral concerns. We follow recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics while developing a schedule for Preventive Visits. We also believe that childhood vaccines are the best way to promote health and prevent diseases for your child. We offer a recommended schedule of vaccines for families. New Families Medical Home
If you are closer to taking a step toward parenthood and are looking for the best pediatrician in Anchorage for your new family, please call us to set up an appointment. We offer a complimentary visit for you to meet our physicians and staff. We will discuss newborn care, breastfeeding, immunizations, clinic policies and other questions and concerns you may have. Our doctors have privileges at both Providence Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital. We happily welcome parents who are planning to adopt a child either domestically or internationally. After Hours Pediatric Nurse
We understand that having access to medical advice when you need it is one of the most important things, so we have made sure that you have access to a pediatric nurse at all times. If you reach us after clinic hours, a pediatric night-call nurse who is trained in the telephone management of children’s medical concerns will be able to assist you. They will take the time to listen to your concerns and advise you appropriately. If necessary, they will notify the physician on-call.
