Car Seat Experts

Our car seat experts (left to right): Chantell, Bethany, Jan, Deyana, and Cynde.

We have child passenger safety technicians (CPST) on staff to assist with your car seat questions. Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death in children and 4 of 5 car seats are used incorrectly. The Children's Clinic understands prevention via education is the best solution to this problem. CPSTs have completed a nationally standardized certification course combining classroom instruction, hands-on guidance using car seats and vehicles, and real life experience at a community car seat checkup event. While in the office, we can help you determine if your child is in the right seat and if the child is properly secured in their seat. For a full car seat checkup you can contact the Alaska Injury Prevention Center or your local fire station. Remember the best seat is the seat that fits your child, fits your car, and one that you can use properly every time.
