Does Your Child Have Asthma?

as of 5/4/2017

Spring is here, and with it dust and pollen that may trigger allergy and asthma symptoms.  If your child has asthma, he/she should have an annual asthma maintenance appointment (AMV) and spirometry testing.

We know visits to the physician can be disruptive to a family schedule. However, due to the time required to complete spirometry (lung function testing) when your child is healthiest, the AMV cannot be completed as part of a Preventive Visit (such as school or sports PE) or during an asthma flare.

We encourage you to schedule your child's AMV appointment prior to June 15th in order to avoid the busy physical season this summer.
